About Multi-Shield
It all began with a friendship between two young Naval officers that grew from their love of water and boating. What started as a product to keep fish guts and slimy bait from getting all over their boats, morphed into Multi-Shield as a household good.
Meet Greg and Kai
Classmates at the United States Naval Academy and Naval Officers, Greg and Kai were both stationed in Charleston, SC. Whenever possible, they escaped the rigors of the Naval Service to take their boats to sail the three rivers flowing together into Charleston: the Cooper, the Ashley, and the Wando. Sailing, water skiing, and fishing consumed much of their free time. While fishing on the Wando in later years, they lamented how bait and fish parts would make a mess of their boats. Thus hatched the multi-shield protection tray concept initially for boats. Greg and Kai then redesigned the multi-shield design to protect kitchen and bathroom cabinets from plumbing leaks and spills. Containing spills lengthens the life of cabinets and reduces the potential health risks of mold that can grow in water logged cabinets.
Greg and Kai established Wando Industries to offer the multi-shield trays’ protection, economic value, modernized appearance, and rugged dependability through a business built on integrity and service.
